Student Led Startup Pitches Bring Great Ideas to Redhawk Ventures
Redhawk Ventures Hosts Mini Startup Weekend
Members got together into teams and developed startup ideas over the course of three weeks.
A Few Members of Redhawk Ventures Presenting Their Idea
Redhawk Venture hosted an excellent mini startup weekend with students forming teams with each other and working on their ideas over the course of three weeks.
Two interesting startups that got pitched were Club Critic (pictured below) and Room Ready.
Club Critic allows you to see real reviews of clubs at your school similar to yelp, the group saw monetization streams through a subscription-based service and wanted to target mainly business clubs. They saw a need for real reviews of clubs as in college you get a lot thrown at you at once.
Room Ready is an interactive platform that allows you to drag and drop furniture and design your dorm room in a 3D interactive space. The group saw a need to streamline the efficiency of dorm furnishing and designing. Monetization channels were gonna be through traditional advertisements and partnering with retailers.

Members stated that this activity helped put them in the shoes of the founder as usually members are playing the role of a VC on a diligence team looking to invest in a startup.
This is the start of an exciting stretch for Redhawk Ventures as they are looking to close the semester out with New Member Presentations and a student-run startup pitch!
